Natural Hallmarks Nature stamps its unmistakable imprint on the leather long before the imagination of the designers takes shape. Every piece of leather becomes a one-off due to a wealth of individual hallmarks in the hide. In their natural environment, animals are exposed to many different influences. Not only wounds but also insect bites and droppings leave their mark and are incontrovertible proof of the leather’s authenticity - almost like nature’s seal of approval.
The art of leather production is to emphasise these natural advantages to the fullest. In this case, Wollsdorf Leder has an invaluable lead. As a large proportion of the rawhides originate from the Alpine region and the Central European area, it is guaranteed that only the best hides - free from brands or other features with a negative impact on quality - are processed into leather. At the same time, the natural surface structure is largely retained.
