Economic success and ecologically-aware action are not polar opposites. On the contrary: in the long run, only companies who have a clean relationship with the environment will be truly successful. And that Wollsdorf Leder is one of these companies cannot be doubted. To name just two examples among many: the company's own sewage treatment plant could purify the sewage of a town of 60,000. And, the use of aqueous finishing agents has been a matter of course for us for a long time.
The consistency with which we implement this positive attitude towards the environment has also made Wollsdorf Leder a pioneer in this field among European tanneries.

Our awards:
• 1992: Austrian Environment Oscar.
• 1993: 3rd prize in the Austrian Waste Avoidance Competition.
• 1997: Wollsdorf Leder was the FIRST EUROPEAN TANNERY to be awarded the EN ISO 14001 environment certificate.
